I grew up in Bemidji, Minnesota and went to college at the University of North Dakota where I majored in Biology. I was always interested in the science of the human body and decided to follow my father’s (Dr. Kell Lovell DDS) footsteps. In 1997 I graduated with a DDS from the University of Minnesota. Since then I have worked in several practice settings while my husband completed his Medical degree. We were fortunate enough to be able to move back home to Bemidji in 2005.
I am committed to providing comprehensive care that fits each patient’s individual needs. I strive to do this in a relaxing, calm and gentle atmosphere while listening and paying attention to every patient’s different concerns.
I am passionate about keeping up with today’s technology and advances. I do this by continuing my education with several comprehensive courses in Endodontics(Root canals), Esthetic Dentistry(All porcelain Crowns, Bridges, Veneers), Implants, and Invisalign(Clear Braces).
Our facility has also implemented several of today’s most current advances including: A completely paperless office with digital records, electronic claim filing, electronic referral system, digital x-rays(70% less radiation than traditional x-rays), Electric Handpieces(much quieter and smoother than air driven handpieces), a state of the art sterilization center, rotary equipment for root canals, digital intra oral camera, wireless hand pieces and a continuing dedication to constantly employ new technology as it becomes available and proven.
In my spare time I enjoy being a mom to three wonderfully busy children, wife to a wonderfully busy husband, running, gardening, cross country skiing, yoga, paddle boarding, reading, and taking care of our Great Dane, cat and four guinea pigs! Living in Bemidji has allowed us to enjoy being a part of a small, tight knit community, while also enjoying all the beauty that mother nature provides us here!
The 2014 Boston Marathon! One of my Bucket List Items!

Getting to run in the annual 4th of July 5K/10K benefitting Bemidji High School Track and Cross Country!
My Dad, Kell Lovell, DDS. Standing by the painting he created for our office! He was my inspiration to become a dentist!
A photo with one of dentistry's top leaders, Dr. Gordon Christensen! This was at a continuing education course at his complex in Provo, Utah. One of the best and most rewarding CE events of my life!
A happy night-receiving my certificate for completing a 100 hour continuing education course in Contemporary Esthetic Dentistry from the University of Minnesota. This is-hands down-the best CE course I have taken! Many long weekends away from home and family to accomplish this-I'm thankful for the support of my loving husband who encouraged me to do this and held down the fort why I was away! Look out level II-here I come! :)
